1959 Ashley 750

I was advised of this Ashley 750 in an email courtesy of Peter
in
​September 2013.

It was not as shown above, but as a display in the Madog Motor museum.

I searched the internet for more info on the museum but could only find it's final announcement about it's closure a couple of years earlier.

As you can see there were no registration number plates
shown on the photo's, below, so could not follow up on the DVLA database.

How wrong could I be.


It wasn't until February 2015 that I was informed of another Ashley 750 by David Offer another contributor to these webpages

and he emailed me a link, and we both thought the same thing, that this was the same car as shown above.

I read the Forum notes with interest and then added a comment myself to get a few things sorted

I also checked on the DVLA online database and came up with the following:

As you will see from the Forum replies the Museum it was in was the Mouldsworth Museum and that is where the original photo's I had from Peter must have been taken, just a slight mix up on location.

I hope to make contact with the owner so I can maybe get an update on the car.
