Ashley 750 (Austin 7)
Registration No. CPH 924
This Ashley 750 was first registered in UK as shown by the DVLA details below:
Current DLVA information 01/09/2013
The vehicle details for Austin/Ashley 750. CPH 924 are:
Date of Liability 27/02/2002
Date of First Registration 18/06/1935
Year of Manufacture 1935 (Original Austin 7 Model)
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 848cc
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type Petrol
Export Marker Y
Vehicle Status Unlicensed
Vehicle Colour RED
Vehicle Type Approval Not Available
The engine capacity is shown as 848cc which appears to be a BMC 'A' Series, which is a bit strange and unfortunately the SU carb has to project through the bonnet cover, (I think maybe it should be 948cc).
I don't know a great deal about this car but I believe between 2001/2
it went over the channel to France, Europe, from the the lapsed registration date and the photo's from the internet.

I received the email below with some insight into the 848cc engine from Patrick:
Hi,
I have just seen the pictures and the description of that french CPH 924 car, the engine is an 850cc Reliant, looking like a BMC but made in light alloy, I drive a Reliant Kitten everyday for 20 years and will start an Austin seven special after ending the restoration of a Marcos coupe.
Your Ashley dedicated site is really interesting.
Best regards,
Patrick from Switzerland
Looking through the internet at Reliant sites and it looks very likely that it is indeed a Reliant engine.
