These photo's were sent to me in November 2011.
Unfortunately the email is in the missing file collection, so until I find it these are unnamed.
Good News
The new owner of this car has recognised these photo's as being his car whilst being restored most likely in 2007.

This car was advertised on the
marktplatz.motorsport-total
website as:
Austin 7, Ashley 750 special.
Is in Germany widely known as the last surviving car of this class. The vehicle has been approved by Germany.
39000 Euro asking price. If you are interested you can register.
I however do not believe it is an Ashley 750.
The shape is not the same as the 750 body in anyway.
It maybe a 1937 Austin 7 based special with Austin 7 - 747cc engine and running gear but that's about all.
In April 2014 I was contacted by David Offer, he told me that whilst looking through this site he saw the above pictures and realised what
car it really was

Ashley 750 looking very sad and in need of a good home/restorer.
I'm not sure where this photo came from but it has had some work done on the bodywork and hardtop.

This Ashley 750 appears in the Carpictures website as an Ashley Cars British Specials 1960.
I believe it's taken from a 1950's Ashley Laminates Ltd. Advertising leaflet.

This Ashley 750 appears in the "Just Older British Cars" and was seen by Eric Trepin in April 16th 2022 in Vosges, France.
The information supplied states:
As purchased (in 1987), the car consisted of a modified 1934 Austin 7 Ruby rolling chassis with 15" wheels (front 15" x 3.5" with 15" x 4" tyres; rear 15" x 4" with 15" x 5" pneumatics), Bowdenex independent front suspension, flattened rear springs, hydraulic brakes, telescopic dampers and a cross flow radiator. Attached to this was the Ashley body, this had been fitted with an aluminium floor and bulkheads, and the door openings had been enlarged, but not the doors! There was also a hard top, which incorporates the front screen but unfortunately this had been broken and I was unable to find out which screen it used.
A Reliant engine and gearbox were supplied with the car, but were discarded as I wanted to use A7 parts.
According to the logbook, the car was first registered as an Austin Special in 1964, although the chassis number is late 1934 and there are three owners registered.
I tried to contact the names on the logbook, but received no reply and the DVLA could not provide any information about the history of the car before it became a special. Phone No. 0049 17678516.
I contacted Eric to ask if he could phone the seller for me which he did but he could get no reply from the number supplied on the cars notice board.
